Purpose
Our brand ‘why’ is inspired by founder Isabelle Saxton's deep passion for sustainability and her dedication to effecting positive change in the fashion industry and people’s lives.
Due to her Harvard University Master’s Degree in Sustainability and Rhode Island School of Design Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel Design, Isabelle prioritizes collaboration and holistic systems thinking while blending design expertise with deep knowledge of corporate sustainability, innovation, and environmental policy. Isabelle’s specialities include sustainability action planning, developing sustainability roadmaps, systems thinking, circular and regenerative design, and crafting GHG Protocol-compliant inventories and reduction plans.
Therefore, at Global Sustainable Network, we believe in the power of humanity, creativity, and mutualism to empower businesses and creative visionaries to adopt sustainability practices for the benefit of nature and business. Sustainability, to us, is not merely a trend but an essential element for shaping an equitable future, so we're driven to ignite positive transformations on an individual and business level.

Isabelle Saxton is a Sustainability, Circularity, and Regeneration Strategist and Designer; Sustainability Chats With Friends Podcast Host; and Founder of Global Sustainable Network.
With a Master’s Degree in Sustainability from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, Isabelle’s interests are two-fold: To help brands design more circular and regenerative products and organisations develop scientifically-grounded, measurable, and positively impactful business practices.
Named by Vogue as one of six designers to watch from RISD, and recognised by the Dean for Academic Achievement at Harvard, Isabelle blends systems and design thinking with expertise in circular and regenerative economics, corporate sustainability, innovation, environmental policy, scientific research, and strategy development.
Known for her clear, relatable communication style, Isabelle translates complex scientific data into attainable sustainability, circularity, and regeneration actions with a keen focus on client needs, holistic planetary boundaries thinking, and creative problem-solving, typically within educational, fashion, textile, and land regeneration organisations.
Her specialities include circular and regenerative systems and product design, supply chain and lifestyle assessments, reducing impact, and developing sustainability action plans.
Isabelle also spends significant time on education, whether that’s through direct client work, hosting workshops and upskilling sessions, participating in industry panel discussions, or on her Sustainability Chats with Friends podcast. Isabelle uses education to cut through the sustainability noise, overwhelm, and misinformation to provide clarity, direction, and actions; she creates space for people to ask questions openly, (un)learn, and be inspired together.
